Chewing promoting SENSOGAN bits from SPRENGER

Bits for a sensitive and trusting contact

The bit is the communication channel between the rider's hand and the horse's mouth. For a trusting connection, it should lie as comfortably as possible in the mouth and adapt optimally to the anatomical conditions. This is exactly what SPRENGER has set itself the task of doing and has specifically tailored the various product lines to the requirements of horse and rider in order to promote harmonious communication.

In addition to the choice of mouthpiece and side pieces, the material of a bit should not be neglected. Our SENSOGAN material with its chewing-promoting properties is particularly well accepted by horses and also has a positive effect on the concentration and willingness to perform of our four-legged partners. Leisure and professional riders have been relying on SPRENGER SENSOGAN bits for many years.

Advantages of SPRENGER SENSOGAN

The aim in developing SENSOGAN was to enhance the positive properties of AURIGAN. SPRENGER worked closely with the Hanover University of Veterinary Medicine and the German Riding School in Warendorf. After intensive research, AURIGAN has been successfully developed into SENSOGAN and scientific tests have confirmed the positive effect of the material.

SENSOGAN, which is also nickel-free, consists of copper, manganese, and zinc. Compared to its predecessor AURIGAN, however, it has a lower copper content without losing any of its oxidation properties. The manganese it contains reduces the amount of copper released, which means that the elegant white-gold color is retained for longer. Manganese is also an important trace element that plays a role in muscle and energy metabolism and can have a positive effect on stress reduction. Manganese also breaks down histamine and can therefore reduce allergic reactions. Overall, SENSOGAN stimulates chewing activity even more effectively than AURIGAN and is also somewhat easier to care for. Another comfort feature for your horse is the rapid warming of the material, which quickly brings the bit up to body temperature even on cold days, making it comfortable in the mouth.

Best tolerability with SENSOGAN

Another advantage of our SENSOGAN bits is their optimum compatibility. As the bits come into contact with the mucous membranes in the horse's mouth, it is particularly important to us that they do not cause the horse any discomfort. That is why the SENSOGAN bits have been toxicologically tested and are classified as completely safe. Even horses that react sensitively to nickel feel perfectly comfortable with nickel-free SENSOGAN in their mouths. This creates more safety and comfort in the horse's mouth.

Quality Made in Germany

We at SPRENGER stand behind this slogan 100%, because we are able to monitor our entire manufacturing process from start to finish and thus guarantee our unique quality. All our SENSOGAN bits are manufactured with the utmost care at our company site in Iserlohn. The alloy is also produced especially for us in North Rhine-Westphalia and is subject to strict quality controls. In over 25 coordinated production steps, a raw metal bar is transformed by hand into a gleaming white-gold-colored bit.

How can I recognize SPRENGER SENSOGAN bits?

You can easily recognize our SENSOGAN bits by the black rings in the side parts of the mouthpiece. In addition, our bits, which are based on a very special anatomy, have a small arrow that should point forward on the left side when correctly buckled in. In addition, the 'SENSOGAN' lettering is stamped on the mouthpiece to clearly identify the bit.

In the case of our Shine Bright bits, the colored crystal naturally sits in place of the black ring, with the arrow pointing downwards on the left front side. The 'SENSOGAN' stamp is also located on the mouthpiece as described above.

In addition to the single and double jointed bits, there are of course also SENSOGAN weymouth bits (matching the SPRENGER SENSOGAN snaffle bit) to promote the greatest possible acceptance and willingness to perform in the higher classes of dressage. Show jumpers can use 3-ring bits and Pelhams as well as gags made of SENSOGAN if required.

Which material is better SENSOGAN or AURIGAN?

The AURIGAN bits from SPRENGER were already specifically designed to stimulate the flow of saliva in the horse's mouth. The alloy of copper, silicon, and zinc preserves the natural oxidation properties of copper, but hardens it sufficiently to make it suitable for use in the horse's mouth. Due to the excellent durability of the AURIGAN bits, many rider-horse pairs still enjoy these bits today.

SENSOGAN is the further development of AURIGAN and, by adapting the ingredients, has a lower copper content, but at the same time promotes your horse's chewing activity even more specifically. The material is easier to care for and retains its white gold color longer than its predecessor.

Not all that glitters is gold

Attention! Not every gold-colored bit has the same chewing-promoting properties as SENSOGAN or is nickel-free. The toxicological safety is also not confirmed by every manufacturer. Although many gold-coloured bits contain copper, the addition of aluminum for hardening means that they are no longer capable of oxidation and therefore have no effect on the horse's chewing activity. The special composition and our quality controls make our SENSOGAN bits so unique and distinguish them from cheap copper alloys without function or imported bits from the Far East.

And which bit shape should I choose?

In addition to the material, the shape of the mouthpiece and the corresponding side piece are of great importance in order to communicate optimally with your four-legged friend. Our Dynamic RS, KK ULTRA, novocontact, Pronamic and WH ULTRA product lines are made of SENSOGAN and allow you to respond individually to your horse's needs. In the TURNADO range, our bestsellers are also made from SENSOGAN alongside some stainless steel bits. The NATHE bit range also offers the option of stimulating your horse's chewing activity in a targeted manner, for which we recommend the double jointed loose ring snaffle with SENSOGAN centerpiece.

Our most popular SENSOGAN bits include the following:
