SPRENGER double jointed bits for gentle and effective communication
Are you looking for gentle but effective communication with your four-legged partner? Then double jointed bits are the perfect choice. The two bit shanks are connected in the middle by a lozenge, ensuring even pressure distribution over the entire tongue. Sensitive horses in particular prefer this pressure distribution. For horses that find pressure on the middle of the tongue uncomfortable, a single jointed bit should be chosen.
With conventional double jointed bits, the bit joints lie vertically on the tongue above the lower jaw, which can lead to unpleasant palatal pressure. SPRENGER bit lines such as Dynamic RS and KK ULTRA have a shortened centerpiece and joints that are tilted forward by 45°. This means that the bit joints lie flat on the tongue and not directly over the bars and the bit adapts perfectly to the anatomical conditions in the horse's mouth.
Double jointed bits made from SENSOGAN
In addition to the classic stainless steel bits, there are also other materials available. SENSOGAN is the tried and tested alloy from SPRENGER, which naturally stimulates the horse's chewing activity. The natural oxidation properties of the copper it contains stimulate the flow of saliva, which leads to chewing and loose jaw muscles. In this way, SENSOGAN bits support a motivated four-legged partner for sport and hobby.
Our SENSOGAN bits (except the Shine Bright Edition) can be recognized by a black ring on the side.

But D-ring bits or the Full Cheek snaffle are also among the classics. The double jointed Pelham or 3-ring bits are somewhat more specialized. Find your new SPRENGER bit in our shop now.
