The Herm. Sprenger Metallwarenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG in Iserlohn has been one of the best-known manufacturers of metal goods in the equestrian, dog sports and boating sectors since 1872. The product range includes boat fittings such as pulleys and sheet clamps, professional chains for dog sports and stirrups, spurs and bridles for equestrian sports. APPRENTICESHIP AS A
TOOL MECHANIC
(M/F/D)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
  • Manufacturing punching tools, casting and injection molds or devices using lathes, milling, grinding and drilling machines
  • Reading technical drawings and adhering to the dimensions specified therein
  • Assembling the individual parts into a finished tool
  • Testing, checking and commissioning the finished tools
  • Maintenance and servicing of tools and machines

Training as a tool mechanic is a 3.5-year recognized apprenticeship in industry and the skilled trades.

WHAT YOU SHOULD IDEALLY BRING WITH YOU:
  • Intermediate school leaving certificate or very good secondary school leaving certificate
  • Diligence (e.g. for the precise, accurate production of workpieces)
  • Manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination (e.g. when sawing, milling, filing and grinding metal parts)
  • Technical understanding (e.g. when assembling components and carrying out maintenance work)
  • Enjoy manual work
  • Interest in the school subjects of technology, mathematics and computer science

TRAINING AS AN INDUSTRIAL CLERK / INDUSTRIAL CLERK EU (M/F/D)

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
  • Several months of work in different areas to learn all the important skills and knowledge for the job, including:

- Purchasing: obtaining and comparing quotations and ordering goods and materials

- Sales: preparing quotations and talking to customers

- Accounting: processing, booking and checking business transactions

- HR department: helping with recruitment and preparing monthly financial statements

- and much more

  • Accompaniment at career fairs and support with the organization, e.g. Karriere im MK

Training as an industrial clerk / industrial clerk EU is a 3-year (shortened: 2.5 years) recognized apprenticeship in industry and commerce.

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD BRING THIS WITH YOU:
  • (University entrance qualification
  • Commercial thinking, negotiating skills and assertiveness
  • Communication skills, sociability and customer and service orientation (e.g. advising customers and taking their wishes into account)
  • Diligence and ability to concentrate (e.g. when compiling statistics)
  • Organizational skills (e.g. planning and controlling the production of goods and services)
  • Interest in the school subjects of mathematics, economics, English and German
