Sandblasting on the SPRENGER TURNADO bit
The special feature of the TURNADO bit is the 45° forward angled joint, which is emphasized by the sandblasting. This ensures that the pressure is distributed evenly on both sides of your horse's tongue. In contrast to conventional single jointed bits, which have uneven contact surfaces due to the different lengths of the bit shanks, the SPRENGER TURNADO guarantees even contact on the tongue. This eliminates the need to turn the bit regularly. This innovative technique also helps to counteract the horse's natural crookedness and promotes harmonious interaction between you and your horse.
Nutcracker effect with the bit
The so-called nutcracker effect can occur with single jointed bits when the bit straightens up and presses into your horse's palate when the reins are pulled harder.
