The TURNADO bits represent a new generation of water snaffles. The bit shanks of conventional single jointed bits are of different lengths due to the manufacturing process, which means that a little more pressure is always exerted on one side. You can avoid this problem of uneven pressure distribution by using a TURNADO bit. The joint in the middle of these bits has been tilted forward by 45° to ensure even pressure distribution and avoid palatal pressure.
The rotation is characterized by a slightly roughened surface (sandblasting) of the mouthpiece in the middle area of the bit.
