Because while the smaller ball wheels with their small diameter and narrow shape have a more punctual effect, the pressure is distributed more evenly with the larger ball wheels. At the same time, the smooth surface of the wheel ensures a lower degree of impact than with serrated wheels, for example. Sounds complicated? Then here's our recommendation: The ball wheels are ideal if you want a little more impact than with rounded spurs.

Are you unsure of what size spurs you need? If you are rather short and have shorter legs, the distance between your thigh and the horse's belly is usually smaller. In this case, we generally recommend slightly shorter spurs. However, if you are tall and have long legs, longer spurs are usually more suitable. Then your thigh can lie quite still, although the distance to the horse's belly may be somewhat bigger.
