Even softer to your horse

Particularly leg-sensitive horses are often described as "twitchy" in everyday life. For exactly these horses we have developed the models of the Comfort Roller series for these horses in particular. The wheel is significantly wider and allows you a particularly soft impact - ideal for sensitive horses.

real softies

We have found through observation that horses described as being “leg sensitive” tend to prefer a large/wider distribution of pressure. They are happier and accept the aids better. That is why we follow exactly this concept with our Comfort Roller and fairRider spurs. Here the pressure is distributed over a large area. For an even better well-being of your horse.

Balkenhol fastening

The innovative design of the fastening for the spur straps was not named after the well-known riding master Klaus Balkenhol for nothing. We have developed this special loop with his expertise. It is designed for everyday use with your horse - for a secure and comfortable fit. How does it work? The Balkenhol fastening has a smaller strap eyelet and an outwardly flared center bar. This allows the spur strap to be guided past the inside of the boot. No pressure, no slipping - no problem!

The bigger

the softer

Do you want to know the level of impact your spurs will have? The following applies to wheel spurs: The thinner, more pointed and smaller the wheel, the more punctual - and accordingly stronger - the effect. The more rounded, thicker and larger the wheel, the softer the effect of the spur.

Hairy affair?

There are horses with sensitive coats that are particularly prone to chafing. And these not only look unsightly, but can also be painful. Here, it is important to ensure as little friction as possible from the spurs. Our tip: Look for spurs with a smooth, wide surface. Wheel spurs are also good due to the gentle rolling of the wheel. Because the less the spur rubs against the horse's coat, the less likely it is that your horse will experience chafing.

Little extra?

Extra grip!

For even better grip, the temples of your spurs are extra rubberized. This makes them particularly slip-resistant on the foot. And that's not all: The rubber coating also protects the sensitive leather of your riding boots. A little extra - two useful advantages.

Break-proof? guaranteed!

Most SPRENGER spurs are made of high-quality stainless steel. This enables us to ensure the highest level of quality. And because we are absolutely convinced of this, we offer you a lifetime anti-breakage guarantee for your stainless steel spurs. Because we can literally guarantee that they will never break.

Individual

like you

Extra wide, extra narrow - or any other special request? No matter what size and special features your foot has: Each spur model can be adapted to the individual size of your foot by bending it slightly. Quite simply and in a flash. Just as it suits your everyday stable life.

Take Care

The most important thing for all riding enthusiasts is the well-being of their horses. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you check your spurs regularly. Especially if hair and dirt get stuck between the wheel and the spike, it can happen that the wheel gets stuck and can no longer turn freely. Wheel spurs should therefore be cleaned regularly - in the interest of your horse.

A question of size

Are you unsure of what size spurs you need? If you are rather short and have shorter legs, the distance between your thigh and the horse's belly is usually smaller. In this case, we generally recommend slightly shorter spurs. However, if you are tall and have long legs, longer spurs are usually more suitable. Then your thigh can lie quite still, although the distance to the horse's belly may be somewhat bigger.
