What goes around

In order to offer the optimum solution for every horse, our round spur wheels are available in different versions. While the smaller ball wheels with their small diameter and narrow shape act more selectively, the pressure is distributed more evenly with the larger ball wheels. At the same time, the smooth surface of the wheel ensures a lower degree of impact than with serrated wheels, for example. Sounds complicated? Then here's our recommendation: the ball wheels are ideal if you want a little more impact than with rounded spurs.

The bigger the

softer

Would you like to know the impact strength of your spurs? The following applies to wheel spurs: The thinner, more pointed and smaller the wheel, the more punctual - and therefore stronger - the impact. The more rounded, thicker and larger the wheel, the softer the effect of the spur.

Take Care

The most important thing for all riding enthusiasts is the well-being of their horses. We therefore strongly recommend that you check your wheel spurs regularly. Especially if hair and dirt get stuck between the wheel and the spike, it can happen that the wheel gets stuck and can no longer turn freely. Wheel spurs should therefore be cleaned regularly - for the sake of your horse.

A question of size

A question of size? But yes: If you are rather short and have shorter legs, the distance between your thigh and the horse's belly is usually smaller. In this case, we generally recommend slightly shorter spurs. However, if you are tall and have long legs, slightly longer spurs are usually more suitable. Then your thigh can lie quite still, although the distance to the horse's belly may be slightly greater.
